Single purpose of the extension
The extension has one purpose: it helps users find images on the active webpage, select the images they want, convert them to WebP, JPG, or AVIF, and download them with clean filenames.
Data collection
The extension does not collect, sell, transmit, rent, or share personal data. The extension does not use analytics, advertising scripts, tracking pixels, remote logging, or third-party data collection services.
The extension scans the active webpage only after the user opens the extension popup. During that user-initiated action, it may read image-related information from the current page, including image URLs, image dimensions, alt text, title text, source type, and page title. This information is used locally in the browser to show the image list, help the user select images, create filenames, estimate converted file size, and download selected files.
Local processing
Image scanning and image conversion happen locally in the user’s browser. Selected images may be fetched by the browser so the extension can convert them to the chosen format and save them to the user’s device. The extension does not upload images to a remote server and does not store a cloud copy of the images.
Chrome permissions used
- activeTab: Used only after the user opens the extension popup. It allows the extension to scan the current active page for images after direct user action.
- scripting: Used to run local packaged code on the active tab to detect image elements, image dimensions, background images, blob URLs, and data URLs.
- downloads: Used to save user-selected converted images to the user’s device.
- Optional host access: May be requested only when needed to fetch a selected image source for conversion and download.
Remote code
The extension does not use remote code. All JavaScript used by the extension is packaged inside the extension files submitted to the Chrome Web Store.
How downloaded files are handled
When the user downloads an image, the extension creates a new converted image file in the selected output format. This conversion may remove ordinary embedded metadata from the newly encoded file. The extension does not remove visible watermarks, ownership marks, brand marks, or provenance markings from image content.
Data sharing
The extension does not share user data with third parties. The extension does not sell data and does not use user data for advertising, creditworthiness, analytics, or unrelated purposes.
Limited Use statement
Use of information received through Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. Any information accessed by the extension is used only to provide the user-facing image detection, conversion, and download functionality described in the extension listing and interface.
User control
Users control when the extension runs by opening the extension popup. Users control which images are selected and downloaded. Users can remove the extension from Chrome at any time through Chrome’s extension management page.
Children’s privacy
The extension is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the extension changes. The effective date at the top of the page will be updated when material changes are made.
